Secret Santa 2024
In life, a persons mind is everything. Whatever you start to think and plan on being, you become, or that's what I believe anyway.

So in terms of life being worth it, it definitely depends on what sort of mindset you plod through life with.
Some people set out thinking that fun and happiness is everything where as to other people that sounds preposterous as they continue their office job career, always overshadowed by an authority figure named "boss".

If what you do makes life worth living for yourself, then life is worth living. If a person feels as if their life has gone far enough and truly believe further living is fruitless, then that's their choice. People will always be opinionated on the subject of suicide, with the majority claiming that it's "bad" but how do you know what was going through their head? Probs a good choice for them, and with that, life was, is and will be worth living.

All dependant on one's mindset and life goals.

Basically, I still don't, besides all the other reasons why I should.

My post doesn't even imply that. The reason you decide to live is because it's preprogrammed into your brain to want to live. The other reason is because your brain rewards you with drugs when you're happy.
I was also thinking... in 100 years, everyone we value is going to be dead. Plus ourselves and everyone around us. Only a minority of the people in this 100 years is going to make any impact on our history.

Does this render life pointless in a greater picture? Or is life something a lot more personal?
lol
But think, a world with out money. It would be a disaster, we only shed blood for it because are economy is bad at the moment. If the world had no money everybody would have everything and the world would last not even half as long because resources would be so rare to make these items the people can just take for free. Don't get me started on the greedy people. But without these resources that will leave are children to live a life on deppression, agony and maybe even death.
A world without money would not be a disaster. Everything should be done for a greater cause. Everyone should recieve equality.

You say that if there was no money, everyone would have everything? Noo, that would not be the case. Anyways I think this is offtopic for "Is life worth it".

Is life worth it? No, in my opinion.

We can impact other peoples lives and our own, but really we are just grains of sand in a desert. Nothing really matters, but that doesn't get me down.

Do you ever feel like, life is just a simulation? No I don't mean like, it's Assassins Creed sort of thing, but do you ever feel like, you can only affect the tiniest of things, like conversation and what you do, but you can't sway the way the world goes. Say you're getting distant to a friend, you want to become closer again, but nothing you can do about it. But that was meant to happen sort of thing?

it's not worth it.
just imagine.
we're all specks, on a speck we call the earth, orbiting around another specks, followed by hundreds of more specks orbiting around the same speck as we are, and billions of other specks have billions of more specks orbiting around them, and those specks are all bunched together in a bigger speck we call the galaxy, where there are infinite specks almost exactly like it spread around the universe.

Everyone in the past has played a small part in making the time I was born a better place. I commend them for their efforts and will enjoy all the work and things they've sacrificed just for me, and I guess you other fucks, too. Everyone lives so that the future people are happier. Even if I end up as a fry cook at McDonalds, I'll be helping the people that are advancing technology by providing them with shit food.
Life was created by random chance of cells multiplying into multicelled organisms, which evolved into modern humans, who will eventually destroy the world they were created in. This cycle, I believe, happens throughout the universe for all life-supporting planets.

In a nutshell, no, there is no reason for life, but we're here aren't we? Enjoy what you got, especially for being in the best part of the cycle (not being a single-celled organism with no concept of joy).

Is being a conscious, intelligent creature capable of seeing this beautiful world and actually communicating ideas and thoughts with other creatures to the point of building systems as complex as our financial and governmental systems really worth it?

Is total, oblivious oblivion to nature and all of its magic a better alternative, just because things are worse off than they usually are for you?

It's amazing how easily life takes its existence and sophistication for granted.

Hey look more than two lines.
Just remember you work in life to live, not live your life to work. Keep your head above water and make the best of it thats a less stressful way to live
