No proof, good grief.
If we're going to argue whats good and what's evil, then let's use a standard. If you do something and it hurts you and someone else, it's stupid. If you do something and it hurts someone more than what you've gained, it's stupid. If you do something that helps you more than it hurt someone else, well, somebody still got hurt. If you do something that is mutually beneficial, that's good. Now where would you put smoking?
IMO, its pretty useless arguing about religion, man has been doing it for a long long long time. Everyone has different views on it, and arguing to make people try and see your point is..pointless.

On that note: I think that there is life after death, but not heaven or hell, possibly reborn or just an alternate universe .

You can't stereotype good and evil
A judge e.g.hurts other people but is it really wrong?
lol, i guess we ought to be on point more.
what's the point? we're trying to help each other live together more enjoyably.
and through that, I think many will agree that you're probably better off not smoking.
lol, or this could be like the licks on a tootsie roll.
kid: Will smoking send you to hell?
owl: Well let's find out. one puff, a two, and a th...
? ? ?
Well, smoking is'nt really evil.. The only possible bad attribut that you could attach to it is that i decreases your life expectency, but equally you could argue, that since it brings happiness, it is also good. "smoking is evil" is a myth put about by schools, doctors etc.
/ontopic

There's no reason to believe that god has a gender, any *good* or *bad* persuasions, or even that he cares about people more that anything else.

Even an atheist can only 'believe' that god doesn't exist.

And you have no proof wether the bible tells the truth or not.

Maybe this has been addressed before, maybe not. I am far too lazy to read through 6 pages to see if it has been.

In this discussion, we are presumably referring to the Christian God - the one described in the Bible. Assuming the Bibile is accurate (and if it isn't, the premise of this whole discussion is faulty, so that's not what we should be focusing on) then, judging by his previous statements, he will damn you to hell.

Skazz may know nothing about God, but by his reading of the Bible he knows the personality that the Christian God allegedly has. You missed the point, juo.

There are objective standards for quantifying "good" and "evil." Unfortunately they are an oversimplification of everything. For example - one could judge by the value of the action itself (which spawns a whole new debate, like the smoking one, on what things are "right" and what are "wrong.") or you can value something by the consequences of an action.

I just don't concern myself with ethics or morality, usually, and do what I want to.
