Perhaps you should be smart and make a new character, perhaps look on the forums and join a village as a work slave farming and what not, I work as a farmer, and I get my own plot of land to do as I wish, and they give me STR and INT food and prepare me to fight with them

This might sound like a dumb question, but how exactly do I talk to the NPCs?
I tried clicking and right-clicking, but nothing. The game looks interesting from the screenshots, but I'm horribly lost and I haven't even created my character yet

Lol dude. You better spawn at my hs. It's

Hood.

or my village leader's hs: turtlekitten.

What you need to do, is... right click the npcs to get a body, and name, then right click the chest, and get clothes, I'll explain more later.
