This will be the place to brainstorm about the new mod pack.

Members so far

Mod pack layouts

Three sparing mods

- Matchframes: 800
Turnframes: 10
Gravity: -30.00
Distance: 400 or 500
- An 80% destructable enviroment ( walls that cave in, bars that bend, colapsing structures if thrown into, ect..).

-Setting takes place in the natural world ( padios, small plazas, market areas, ect..)

- 3 or 4 foundation objects ( will not move), the rest will be atatched by joints and heavey objects to make up structures for full interaction.

- Mod enviroments will be some what closed in so players cant run too far away .

These mods will have a small stand support that will still alow your to move fluidly, have a better footing and the alows you to stand back up with ease.

I have included the mod wich has the support system along with a replay to show the capabilities .

Body Modifacations

- Every body part in the arms except for the elbows will be adjusted so the receive no damage to alow better blocking and elbow strikes.

- Lumbar and abs will move faster for quicker dodging

- biceps and triecps will be cylinders instead of rectangles and adjusted so they mimic real arms ( the size)

- Every part in the legs will receive no damage but the shins and feet will be able to give damage ( for kicks).

So the first steps will be to

A. Search for a pictures of locations we can use as a template for the over all layout of the mods . Just think of a theme and search on google for pictures with good clear angles. Post them here so we can see what would be better. Remeber we are looking for places you would see in a fight scene.


B. While we do that, DoubleDagaR can take a look at the stand support and start making the adjustments . When you have finished one part of the mod mod , post it here I can review it .

While I can very well do this, it changes the arms to have this weird effect that looks bad. I got bad reviews on my mod that uses this because noobs couldn't figure out what way the joints force is directed. I advise you ditch this..

If you want you can load vampiresrengthca.tbm (ca = cylindrical arms) and move the joints.. they still move how they should but the force/relax joint ball shows up strange. (I apologize for the low grav too that was my first mod).

Also, I don't think the no damage flag works anymore, it hasn't since 3.6 - when you used to be able to get TC in pubs.. I guess hampa thought someone would submit a mod where 1 players takes no damage.

Oh yes I remeber that dam glitch now , I had tried adjusting the arms before and it just turned out horrible . I guess we can scratch that idea, I'll check out that mod .

Im pretty sure the flags still have that function , I'll double check it today just to make sure . There was one mod that was released not too long ago involving a new head pass mod . The guy made the head joint low in dis threashold and the rest very high so you can rip your head off easly .

We may be able to do somthing on that lines but with fracture , alot of people have a " head shot win" rule when they spar so it doesnt take too long . So if we have it so your head fractures in stead of dismember or perhaps a win trigger when either players fists or feet connect with the face .

Hmmm you do have a point ninja , the triggers may not be the best idea.

The roof top picture looks like a good place , we have to consider the object count vs breakable structures if we use that design . Where would the tori's start ? perhaps in the glass room ? breakable windows and what not .


I do have a crazy idea for a sparing setting , this is what I picture:

1. you are in the back of a moving sand truck with your opponent. ( like mptruck.tbm but with a hollow trailer)

2. theres bumps in the path of the truck so both players get knocked around .

3. Boxes and other dangerous junk are in the back with you ( flying around with every bump)

4. The tail gate falls open if player hits or get pushed into it ( but theres a chain connected on the inside so players can grab it and dangle out the back while being dragged lol ).

5. Eventualy the truck hits an angled object that causes it to quickly tip over ( probably around 800 or 1000 frames) .

Now that would be one crazy fight .

That's great.
The only problem I see is the 16 object limit, especially for the chain.
I thought about the object limit , and I came up with a 9 obj "dump truck". Dont mind the crappy drawing lol All togeather there will be 9 obj.




The bottom object where the weels are attatched will be a tad big in the front and sides so it looks like theres a bumper and the tail gate wont be as tall as the side walls and placed at the edge so if it walls it will trail along the ground .
