When you say you found one "using the ender eyes" what do you mean by that?
You do know they drop after a bit and you can pick them up again right? So, if done carefully, you could find a stronghold with only one ender eye.

But remember that some of them explode in the air and don't come back down, even though that's rare, I got down from 4 ender eyes to 1.

Well I'm still needing 2 ender eyes. Made a base, FINALLY found some wolves Hell yeah.

Made a small melon farm, and collected more food for the battle. I did all this cause I'm around 5 minutes away from my house even when I sprint the whole way, and a part of those 5 minutes is in the ocean (around 2 minutes in on boat).

So I'll have a lot of new things when I get back (the dragon egg, wolves, a new stronghold, a new mineshaft, snow).

Haha right on, sounds like you've got a good outpost-majig set up for the stronghold portal place.
