Although the issue is resolved, could this be some inane bug that occurs with Win64?

Just out of interest, could you tell us what details you get on the bluescreen?
"Call yourself alive? I promise you you'll be deafened by dust falling on the furniture,
you'll feel your eyebrows turning to two gashes, and your shoulder blades will ache for want of wings."
yeah this might be a win64 issue.
concerning the reboots. have you disabled automatic restart on system failure?

(right click my computer, advanced tab, settings, and uncheck "automaticly restart")
I did now and i'll retry using greenertia.inc
c ya after manual reboot xD

...works for 2 minutes...
... loading sunrise.inc after greenertia.inc works too...
Report:
-shaders worked for about 2 minutes, even when changing
-problem occured while running Toribash in background and chatting @ xfire
-no error message, computer just stopped doing anything :P
-manual reboot
The system crashes because the video card crashes. Get the latest drivers for your motherboard and your video card, delete all the old ones through hardware devices, then install the new ones, the motherboard drivers fix issues with the bios sending the wrong signals to the video card, the graphics drivers will fix any bugs especially if you have older video card drivers. In windows Vista when the game crashes its traced back to a driver called nvlddmkm.sys. XP doesnt have that, what it does is makes the system hang for a couple of seconds while the videocard resets itself, of course its a bitch while you are playing toribash or any other game that it may happen to because the window only shows up as black or white because it cant reload the game graphics. therefor you have to restart the game in which the driver crashes again forcing the card to reset. so your problem may be equivalent in xp without the video card resetting though.
So all up my advice is download the newest drivers, uninstall the current drivers, then install the new ones. restart and it should work, if it doesnt try uninstalling the drivers and toribash installing the drivers restarting and then install toribash again. Good luck sorry for the big speech.
