You do realize that a nuclear war, with thousands of nukes, would single handedly knock out a chunk of the population, not to mention other weapons than just nukes, like invasions of other countries. Other countries would invade, kill civilians, etc. The world would most likely end if a country like the U.S. or Russia went into a full out nuking war (highly unlikely, but still)

The war that would end the world would most likely be over water, or oil, or something. There wouldn't be a random "lets go nuke every fucking country" approach.

Complete extinction would be really unlikely through nuclear war. There's a good chance that a dozen or more countries would be wiped out, but there would still be many other places on earth that would still have human life and be hospitable.

Although, one possibility that really scares me is an "oceanic anoxic event"

Description of the domino effect of Anoxic Events

These have happened in the past multiple times and our carbon dioxide emissions today may push us over the edge.

@Sham: I believe water is a reusable resource
@Arbalest: Yes, you are correct. Something like this will never happen though, but if Iran were to launch a nuke on the US, there would be a full scale thermo-nuclear war.

Also the universe isn't limitless

Do you know how the world began? If you do
Then you will know how the world will end.

And the universe is limitless , is there a proof that it end at some point?
Poop poop poop shit shit piss pussy pear-shaped person peice of shit
When you guys are talking about Nuclear events occurring, a lot of you are forgetting about the Nuclear Winters that follow the event of a Nuclear explosion. You guys make it seem like the explosion and radiation are the only things to worry about. Not only will a Nuclear Winter kill off plant life, etc., it can and would kill us off depending on the quantity of Nuclear Weapons that exploded.

Now, there is also something called a Volcanic Winter, which is very similar to a Nuclear Winter, however, it occurs after the eruption of a Volcano.

Say, if Yellowstone were to erupt, (I live within a few hundred miles of it, actually), the thing that would end up eradicating us all would be the Volcanic Winter that follows the eruptions. Yes, the eruptions would decimate everything in a certain area. I've read that up to 2/3 of North America would be completely un-inhabitable and all the food supplies, etc. would be completely wiped out. I've also read that the entire Northwest region of North America would be completely destroyed. I've also read that areas within 1,000 miles away will be covered in up to 10 feet of volcanic ash.

A Volcanic Winter from Yellowstone would be completely devastating, maybe more so than a Nuclear War. It depends, though. If suddenly half of the nukes in the world were to explode, that would probably be far worse than Yellowstone.

Just my 2 cents..

Yes, there is.

I think the volume of the universe is 10^10^123, all located within the triangle.

I believe that the world will end because of its greatest threat, which is humanity. It's a sad topic really, due to the fact that our race is destroying Earth right now as we speak. It's possible that the world could be destroyed by something else, like asteroids or the Yellowstone volcano. Then again, it definately sounds more likely that we'll be the culprits for the destruction of Earth.

The world will obviously come to a stop at some point, but this doesn't mean we can't enjoy the time we have at this very moment. Be grateful for every second.
If you pay close attention to how things are happening, the world is already in the process of ending.

It's only just a matter of time.
Nobody knows how the world will end, only God knows. We dont know its time or its year.
