Not yet, as the maintainer isn't sure if the problem is with the linux version ony, or is there similar problems with the windows or mac -versions.

You saying that that terminal command you posted up there should make the config file persist between sessions? Because it doesn't.

The version 3.41-5 fixed at least the bug with the settings being not saved between game sessions, so it's highly recommended to update ASAP
