Respect
Everybody wants respect. For some, respect is a sign of superiority or power. For others, respect is simply treating others as equals. What do you think respect is, and what does it take to earn it?

esteem: a feeling or attitude of admiration and deference toward somebody or something

Stupid question is stupid. Respect gives me a "feeling" of power and self-worth, as it should for anyone I guess.

And earning respect is easy. You just don't act like a controversial retard/stupid retard. Also do something admirable.

Not really much room for discussion here.

I'm personally more of a fan of loyalty than respect, loyalty gives me a feeling of mastery over peons, and that gets me off since I'm a self absorbed sociopath. (no joke)
the inner machinations of my mind are an enigma
Respect is what you say, the treating of equals. If you give respect you get respect. I think the room for discussion is slim like Zayex said, but I'm firm believer of if you do nothing to get respect and still expect it. (Unless it's your boss then respect the position not the person) You are worth no more then the dirt under my shoes.
But in all reality... I think I might be insane...
