What do you say when someone asked you "What's Toribash?"

A lot of people kept on asking me what this game is but I don't really know how to explain it since I only use forum.
Well, I tried and this is what I said

"Its a fighting game where you control your characters body (joints) to fight"

But.. I dont think it's enough D:

I usually just go with 'turn-based physics fighting game'.


And then I get weird looks because apparently that phrase befuddles most people.

"Toribash is a physics-based game, where you try to dismember and break your opponents in various different mods, like judo, taekkyon etc.."

Basically this.

Also, Lorrtex and me probably see the same reaction!

Toribash is a unique fighting game where there are two ragdols fighting. The unique thing about it is that you control the joints, not the movement. Thing of it as real life but not real life (lol).

The most difficult thing to explain are the frames. I have been trying to put it in words since years and it just doesn't do very well at conveying the concept of toribash.

It takes a while to learn about the frames even when you are playing the first time. Explaining it in words is a difficult task.

Exact quote from when I described toribash to my technologically impaired friend last week.

id usually say "its a game where its all about to disember your enemy by moving muscles, u can even kick their head off etc...."
mostly followed by showing the german underground clan video.
