Do you have any ideas with what i could try? I'm not in a hurry to finish this set so i might just try out something else when i have time.

Well, I'm really digging your older set "Volga", the legs look great on it.
You should try to go back to a robotic set like that, much less plates, but make it better with the shading your capable of now.
But I also love the simplistic "Guardian" style.

those hands make me sooo sad. if i could only pick 2 (3*) textures to wear on my tori it would be head and hands because they can be the most expressive. but it just looks like you "had" to make hands, not "got" to create hands.
