I'm not much of a party lover, so I was already dubious about that night when it started.
But it ended up being really good, me and my now girlfriend finally hooked up, and all was going well.
Me, her, her best friend and my best friend were on our way to her best friend's boy friends house, which required cutting through the canal.
We thought it was no big deal.
As we turned a corner, 3 large(ish) men turned the opposite corner.
Again, no big deal.
As we approached, they were clearly drunk, and came up to us, shouting random words.
He made a crude pass at one of the girls, and when we ignored them, he squared up to my friend.
I moved my friend out of the way and ushered the girls past, hoping to avoid any kind of confrontation, naturally.
The other 2 guys then pushed me back, the girls just stood there scared, my friend's not much of a confrontational person either so tried to comfort the girls.
I was up against the wall, grazed elbows.
Wide eyed.
Knees weak.
Arms heavy.
Coming out my pockets already.
Moms spagetti.
So yeah, that was a thing. But in all seriousness we got squared up to and then we just walked away. I'm not used to that kind of thing by any means so yeah.
I dunno, not as bad as it first sounds perhaps, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity for something like that.
