I definitely think the mother is to blame. As I see it, if your partner abuses your child you have a responsibility, as a parent, to go to the police, whether you're getting abused or not.
On the other hand, I'm aware that domnestic violence victims usually don't go to the police, and I don't think a punishment is going to help that.

Well... I have experience. My cousin was abused by her spouse and so were her kids, every time she would try to escape he would take the car keys away from her and punch her, he also didn't let her have a cell phone. It was p bad until my family stepped in, she's happy now. Also the culprit in that video was both. Dad for abusing and mom for not doing anything, but the dad killed a child with his bare hands. Think about that.

If the mother is physically unable to contact the police, that's a different story, but I don't think fear is an excuse.
And I think the mother is just as guilty as the father, since she has the ability to end it all whenever. Not even death threats justify not telling the police about your child getting violated or abused.

By the way, I'm sorry to hear that, woof. I'm not trying to be an ass or anything, I just don't think personal experience should dictate your opinion in a debate. It's useful input, though.
