[Pandora] I can't appreciate another day in Heaven without another day in Hell [Anime United]
Well, I haven't played it myself yet, but a friend explained it like this: "Playing Fallout 3 is like having a constant orgasm; it's as if Oblivion had a child with Fallout 2, and the resulting child had some wild sex with S.T.A.L.K.E.R. The resulting child there is fallout 3"

I'm getting it when I know for sure my PC can handle it.

It's more true than you think. >.>
I say that it was worth the money for me. And even though the melee combat is quite Oblivion-esque, there is still this VATS thing. And localized damage. If you continuosly (sp?) punch someone in the face, their head will blow up eventually.
And there is, of course, guns. Wub guns. Combat Shotgun + Face = :D

And the fact that you can step on Radroaches makes everything a whole lot better.

@Dalir: The back of the DVD case says the following about system requirements:
OS: XP or Vista.
CPU: 2.4 GHz.
Memory: 1 GB RAM, 6 GB of free space.
Video card: NVIDIA GeForce 6800, ATI x850, minimum.
That's pretty mild actually... I don't know if you even wanted this info, but hell, now it's there :P

various places to find me lol
Its awesome on consoles. The PC release is bug infested and crashing for a lot of people, unfortunately i am one of them. Due to being a Fanboy of the first 2 games there are some things that bother me but all in all its cool. Bethesdas Gamebryo engine could have used a bit more tweaking though.
<Alan> lol, rutz, it might be cool to smell your ass all the time you touch the mic

I saw this being played on G4. From what I saw / experienced, it is friggin sweet!

You have this system, that you can choose a body part to shoot, then choose the weapon to shoot them with. For example,
Lets say that the enemy is very far away.

You want to target his head, and shoot him with it, right? just select, select, okay, BAM! Right in the kisser!

No, more like they has a child with the original fallout and an improved oblivion.

That's V.A.T.S. (Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System). And it isn't that easy.

Closer = +Precision to hit/Farther = -Precision to hit.
