Upgrading my CPU
So, over 3 years now , I have been using my trusty Pentium E5800. I can say it did a really good job 3 years ago but now It's outdated. I'm considering upgrading to the old Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600. Will it be a good upgrade? I'm don't plan on changing my LGA 775 motherboard.

I would say no, performance is marginally better, unless you overclock, in that case its a bit better but still not that great honestly .

Why are you even upgrading your CPU? Your GPU will be more useful for games.

My GPU is a Sapphire Radeon R7 250. I think it does a good job in most games already. My CPU is just bottleneck

What's your CPU usage during games?

The 250 is a low end card, so I'm skeptical, but it's certainly possible. I don't think a cpu switch will give you much benefit.

My CPU usage is always at 98% even at playing outlast. My friend has an i7 and a GT 610
and runs outlast so well! :O

I recommend you the Core2Quad Q8200. I have it with the Geforce GTX 260 graphic card and mostly all the new games runs smoothly. And its cheap.
