My parents don't like dogs but I really want one. I'm thinking of getting one when I'm an adult in my own house.

Dogs are cute but:

- They cost money to keep alive
- They need constant attention (like a child)
- They can be very annoying
- They need love and care

Having a dog is a big responsiblity. Plus, your wife/children could be allergic to it. But I hope you get a dog, having a pet is really nice.

Agreed. I don't have one, but I know how it feels like to own a dog. It's worth it in the end imo
