The two then work together to solve the mysteries of what becomes a serial murder case.
Thoughts on the show: It's still being released bit by bit, but from what I've seen so far(4 Episodes) it looks to have potential.
Mobile suit gundam iron blooded orphans
The Earth Sphere had lost its previous governing structure, and a new world was created under new systems of government. While a temporary peace had arrived, the seeds of a new conflict were being sown in the Mars Sphere, far away from Earth.
Thoughts on the show: This too is being released bit by bit and also shows some potential, Although It reminds me of ALDNOAH.ZERO story wise, I'm just hoping it does not go down the same road as that show.
World trigger
One day, a gate to another world opened in Mikado City. Invaders from another dimension, referred to thereafter as Neighbors, overran the area around the gate, leaving the city gripped by fear. However, a mysterious group suddenly appeared and repelled the Neighbors. This Border Defense Agency independently researches Neighbor technology and fights to protect this world. In a short time, they managed to build an enormous base and prepare a defensive system against the Neighbors. it's been four years since then.
Thoughts on the show: This ine is actually pretty good. At first I was dubious about it, it's story took a long time to get to the point, or maybe a more apt analogy is that it dragged on for longer than it really needed to. If you can get over the overly long story line and awful cliff hangers I'd give it a shot if I was you.
Black bullet
In the year 2021, mankind was defeated by Gastrea, a parasitical virus, and is forced to live within a wall made of Varanium Monoliths, a metal that is able to subdue Gastrea. Soon, the "Cursed Children", children born with the Gastrea virus who are able to control it—which gives them superhuman abilities—were discovered. Due to the Gastrea virus' intervention, the Cursed Children could only be female. Civil Securities are formed to specialize in fighting against Gastrea, operating with the pair of an Initiator, who are cursed children, and a Promoter, serving to lead the cursed children.
Thoughts on the show: This was a really good show, Got hooked on it instantly and binge watched it in 2 days.
Kamisama Dolls
KAMISAMA DOLLS follows Kyouhei, a college student. One night, he and Hibino discover a dead body and coincidentally Kyouhei’s sister appears with the doll called Kamisama she controls.
Thoughts on the show: It was a fairly good show, the ending lacked a bit though in my opinion.
Charlotte
Very few adolescent boys and girls have an onset of special abilities. Yu Otosaka is one such man who uses his ability unbeknownst to others in order to lead a satisfying school life. Then one day, a girl named Nao Tomori suddenly appears before him. Their encounter reveals the destiny for wielders of special abilities.
Thoughts on the show: At first I did not know what to think about this show, but after a few episodes It had me hooked. There are some very good plot twists(I always like a good plot twist) and all in all the story was well presented.
GATE
On August 20XX, a gate suddenly appears in Tokyo's Ginza district, unleashing a portal where monsters, medieval knights and other fantasy beings come from another world and wreak havoc on Tokyo. The Japanese Defense Force take action against these monsters and push them back into the "Gate". Third Reconnaissance Team is dispatched to the "Special Region" lead by officer (and otaku) Youji Itami. On their travels, they are joined by a beautiful elf girl who is a survivor from the dragon's rampage and guide the group across the dangerous new world.
Thoughts on the show: This had a nice change, modern realistic/medieval fantasy merged into one, very well made and all in all a good show.
The asterisk war
Invertia… an unprecedented disaster that struck the world during the 20th century. Because of this disaster, numerous cities around the world were destroyed. However, within the meteor, an unknown element called mana was discovered, which allowed human technology to make rapid strides. This also gave rise to a new species of human born with unique skills – the Star Pulse Generation. The setting for the world’s greatest comprehensive battle spectacle, the Festas, is an academy city above the water surrounded by six academies called Rikka also commonly known as Asterisk.
Thoughts on the show: This is also still being fully released, but it definitely has potential to be a good show, time will tell.
Terror in resonance
When a terrorist attack ravages Tokyo, a mysterious clue to the perpetrators' identity confounds the police, and paranoia spreads like wildfire.
Thoughts about the show: Loved it, the art style was great, story line as well. Had a good ending(Although I won't spoil anything)
Kite Liberator
A teenage assassin is cleaning up the streets of Tokyo. The police call her the Angel of Death, an unfeeling assassin who eliminates targets with grace and precision, leaving only a flurry of feathers across the bloody crime scene as a calling card. What the public is unaware of is that this notorious hitman is actually a polite young lady named Monaka. Could the placid face of an innocent high school girl really disguise such a ruthless killer? Monaka seems to be just an average high school girl. But she has a dark and terrible secret linking her past to a murderous police detective and her future to a fatal duel with the one person she loves most in the world.
Thoughts about the show: Well, this is pretty much identical to the original Kite and Merzzo Forte; violence, some great animation, perverted comedy, and an extremely dark tone. It's nice to see that the unneeded graphic sex was given up in favor of an actual plot (!) with somewhat fleshed-out characters, for once. The plot itself is pretty cliché and nothing we haven't seen a thousand times before, but I have to give them credit for trying.
Genius Party
Seven short films from different directors. Atsuko Fukushima's intro piece is a fantastic abstraction to soak up with the eyes. Masaaki Yuasa, of MIND GAME and CAT SOUP fame, brings his distinctive and deceptively simple graphic style and dream-state logic to the table with "Happy Machine," his spin on a child's earliest year. Shinji Kimura's spookier "Deathtic 4," meanwhile, seems to tap into the creepier corners of a child's imagination and open up a toybox full of dark delights. Hideki Futamura's "Limit Cycle" conjures up a vision of virtual reality, while Yuji Fukuyama's "Doorbell" and "Baby Blue" by Shinichiro Watanabe use understated realism for very surreal purposes. And Shoji Kawamori, with "Shanghai Dragon," takes the tropes and conventions of traditional anime out for very fun joyride.
Thoughts about the show: It's brilliant, watch it DO IT
Genius Party Beyond
An anime anthology explodes with moonscapes, musical fantasias, dreamlike vistas and nightmarish visions.
Thoughts on the show: Alike with Genius party, WATCH IT NOW!
Shin Sekai Yori
Five children living in the future are the protagonists. The story begins when they are 12 years old and starting their lives at an advanced school to learn the ‘cursed power’ of telekinesis.
Thoughts on the show: Very original and well made, definitely would suggest you watch this.
It's actually quite dark despite the cover.
MUSHI-SHI
They are creatures only known as ‘Mushi,’ whose abilities range well into the supernatural. While their existence and appearances are unknown to the humans around them, there are a few like Ginko who is a ‘Mushi-shi’ that travels around to investigate and find out more about the ‘Mushi.’ During the course of his discovery and understanding, he helps those who are troubled by the Mushi themselves.
Thoughts on the show: I actually found this quite hard to watch, it was really slow but still had a good story. It's up to you if you want to watch it.
WATAMOTE
The protagonist, Kuroki Tomoko, thought she would naturally become popular once she became a “high school girl”, but reality was different… Tomoko panics at her situation and decides to take action to become popular. But… she doesn’t stand out in class, she’s extremely shy, and bad at communicating with others so she has to start by talking to someone other than her family first… The unpopular girl, “Kuroki Tomoko” fights her hardest to become popular, but… Does a bright future await Tomoko?! Thoughts on the show: It was actually quite funny yet cringe worthy at the same time, had quite a few good laughs at it.
Classroom Crisis
Fourth Tokyo--one of Japan’s new prefectures on Mars. Kirishina City, Fourth Tokyo’s special economic zone, is home to the Kirishina Corporation, an elite corporation renowned for its aerospace business. The company has been expanding its market share in various industries, while also running a private school, the Kirishina Science and Technology Academy High School. That alone would make it unique, but there’s also a high-profile class on campus.
Thoughts about the show: This was actually really good, At first I was very sceptical about it, but after a while I got into it.
