I personally love Rick and Morty and I think that it's great and definitely deserves all the good things people say about it.
Unique and refreshing characters, funny, clever writing, small details everywhere, near endless directions to go in and things to explore in episodes due to Rick and the possibilities he brings etc etc etc. If you're not a fan I'd really recommend you try another episode or two. I was hooked on it immediately but as someone said above some episodes are a bit better than others and you might just need to give it another go.
