So what is your input on The Oscars?

I'm just relieved that Leo finally got his well deserved Oscar.

Moved this to Movie/Music chat, it's proper place.

I suppose I am happy that Leo did win the Oscar, but I still think that the Revenant shouldn't have gotten best director; that should have gone to Mad Max. There is reason it got six Oscars, and it's because the director managed the film so well and fulfilled his vision.

Super psyched that Spotlight got best picture, it completely deserves it. None of the other pictures stood close to it in my eyes, so I'm happy that it got it.

the only reason he actually won an oscar was cause the whole thing was boycott'd. I'm not saying he didn't deserve it or anything but did you see any other black nominee's? Like come on Chris rock was even fucking hosting

The only black actor/actress that I think could have deserved an Oscar would be Will Smith, and he didn't really do that well compare to other nominees.

I think the bigger issue is casting. For some reason, foreign characters in movies are being casted as white males, which I just don't get
