back when I was learning how to skate, about 5 years ago, I was giving my first try in a half pipe with my friend, also a noob. We knew we would end fucked up, at the time we used to just go to the beginning of the ramp and turning 180 to going back, really slowly, what means we had no chance dropping in the half.

He said: "if you go, I go after"
I said: "ok"

>I literally just jumped forwards after kicking the skate downwards (the skate dropped really well, the problem was that I decided to jump off instead)
>I fell with my stomach being the first thing that touched the ground
>didn't hurt but I couldn't breathe
>my friend couldn't breathe either, he was way too busy laughing the shit out of me
>obviously he gave up dropping
>I fainted
>when I recovered consciousness, I found out my hand hit the ground so hard that my palm's skin just got off of my hand

this story actually repeated until I learned how to drop in
