New formula: x^x = x*x +1

x^x -1 = x*x

x = (x^x -1) /x

xn+1 = (xn^xn -1) /xn

You failed at the start.
(x^x * x)/x means you can't cancel it out since the parenthese needs to be removed.

But, I don't know how to solve it, really.

And x^x isn't x*x

For example, check 4^4 and 4*4.

x != 2.

Why can't you cancel that? VALUE (x^x) multiplied by x, all divided by x is the same as the VALUE.

And I know x^x and x*x aren't the same. But they are for x=2. =P

x^x * x = 8
8/x = 4

x*x = 4
4 + x/x = 5.

I know, I made a mistake first try. I though the right half of the equation read "... = x*x *(x/x)" Which would work for 2. But it isn't. It's +(x/x)
