I know this is a couple pages past the topic, but I completely agree with what 666 said. My version though is just get rid of it completely. Get rid of the whole reputation system, but replace it with a commenting system. Its doesn't give people bad rep or plus rep. People just leave comments about what they think of it and they should be able to tell for them selves if that person liked what they posted or disliked.
