hi
i recently reformated my computer because of a blue screen and the volume wont come back.
i tried downloading several audio drivers from online, but they wont work
i have a windows xp professional service pack 2.
when i try opening up my volume/sound/etc settings, everything is greyed out.
i think i need a new audio card but i dont know which one
i updated all my drivers in driver manager but it does not find any newer verions to install so im stuck
i also opened up services, disabled the windows audio, enabled it again, and switched the bar to automatic.
i restarted my computer aloot
im very sure i need to get new drivers so can someone link me to good drivers for windows xp service pack 2 please? thanks

also in my device manager under sound, video and game controllers, it says
audio codecs
legacy audio drivers
legacy video capture devices
media control devices
video codes

all are updated
