I will probably get banned if I say that christianity is the only true religion, but yes, that is how it is. I'm sure there are other religions that says the same though. Having immortal life, isn't existing without a purpose. You can still serve God, and be with your loved ones, which is the true purpose of life.

There is only one thing I can agree with you in. Some of the things done in the name of God has been wrong, but that is the individual persons own fault, for not understanding the "guidelines". There are still some of these extremists around in the world, and they should be helped to understand their real purpose.

You should try watching the movie made by Mel Gibson. I don't remember the name but it's the life of Jesus. In a short version. It's a good movie, and I think you will understand why I am defending the christian side, a bit better.
