Little kids think it's okay to take from other kids, although harmless, it is a start. They need to be guided on a moral path. Should that path come from religion, does it need to? No... not at all.

Sorry, I'm just playing devil's advocate. I agree with you, there would be essentially no change to the world with religion gone. Actually, I see a more productive, intelligent, and aware world.
