Like the choice of a less saturated and darker colour between the white and orange on the lip, Nielly tends to have smother value gradients. The brush strokes look different, and overall the light and shadow and form is a lot more stylised in the BenDover one.

Honestly I'd be a bit surprised if that was Nielly. I only looked at the first 3 pages or so, but it doesn't seem to match at all.

Ive been infatuated with her work for years now, im a sucker for bright colours and rough paintings.

wouldnt your style change a bit after doing 2 paintings a month for the past 11 years?
I dunno about her old stuff being better, she sorta standardised her style for some pieces in recent years, but the ones she gets right, she really gets right. her recent works overall, have certain technical elements that put her older stuff to shame.
