<Hax> I'm great how ya doing stellar
<Hax> or ryan
<Stellar> It's Ryan, noob
<Stellar> Anywho, I just got back from the gym feel amazing
<Stellar> So why don't you tell the readers a little about yourself?
<Hax> That's good. I definitely know that feeling.
<Stellar> The gains feel, good son.
<Hax> Alrighty, my name is Hxcbbqimo, my nickname's been Hax since around 2009. And I've been playing toribash since '08
<Hax> And I just hit 34,000 games played 2 days ago or so
<Stellar> I meant about your personal life noob
<Hax> Oh okay. My name is Jeffrey Renaud, I'm a 20 year old at the University of Alabama (Roll Tide), I study Human Performance and Exercise Science which helps from time to time in the game. And I'm a sponsored weight lifter for Spartan Supplements.
<Stellar> Can you please take a picture and show everyone your gains
<Hax> Haha no thanks
<Stellar> pls bbygrl
<Hax> I'm a classy broad, gotta buy me dinner first
<Stellar> Well I'm a slut and I'm used to just sending pics and getting pics.
<Hax> haha, moving on
<Stellar> Fine fine fine
<Stellar> So what jobs have you had in the community?
<Hax> Well, my first job was as a Market Squad member, which I have steveirwin/steve/evets to blame. And I liked that a lot, I had a lot of fun with hanz0 as my boss because he probably takes the cake for under-appreciations. How much he impacted the community. And then I became a GameMaster multiple times. And that's always a lot of fun.
<Stellar> Gamemasters aren't fun, wtf you're lying to the readers
<Stellar> :(
<Hax> Well, it has it's moment where you question the sanity of some people, but I really like helping the community. I have a really big project I'm working on for that right now actually.
<Stellar> Leak some info for us please. :D
<Hax> Plus TB was here for me when I was a young brat in high school with raging hormones, so it's nice to give back.
<Stellar> Very true, hhm so what do you think about the current gms?
<Hax> Alrighty, I can do that. I will be releasing a youtube channel very very soon called Toribash TakeOVER (http://www.youtube.com/user/ToribashTakeOVER) where I'll be talking over high level game footage for explanation, teaching simple and advanced theory of the game, footage of streams that'll be featured on the forums, interviewing players about the game and releasing it, and there will be plenty of give always and tournaments really soon. I'm really excited. So if you want to like.. win TC and stuff I recommend like/commenting/and subscribing to ToribashTakeOVER
<Hax> shameless plug.
<Stellar> Oh cool, now answer the damn question noob
<Stellar> :|
<Hax> The current GMs are awesome. I honestly don't think we've had a team in charge of hosting tournament at this level of activity in a really really long time. The chemistry is pretty great, and of course you'll always have some technical problems with users logging on, but I really think this is a strong team with great leadership.
<Stellar> Erth is killing it.
<Hax> Woah! come and have a go if you think you're hard enough bloke!
<Hax> And GMStreams are fantastic too. I highly recommend listening to us make fools of ourselves every Friday.
<Stellar> And random cat noises, those are always fun.
<Hax> Right. Those too
<Hax> mreoow
<Stellar> Meeeeeow
<Hax> Sorry, can't do them like you can
<Stellar> I'm literally the best right now
<Hax> Right meow even?
<Stellar> Right meow
<Hax> Maybe we should talk a little more about toribash ha
<Stellar> Anyways, before I start meowing like an idiot again anything you'd change about the community?
<Hax> Hmmm. Well I think there's this weird mindset about playing Toribash. I don't want to say its gone "casual" per-say, but mods are being made easier and it's ruining the metagame and once a tactic is invented to exploit weaknesses in it all, instead of making the mod better or changing the play style, we just call it "cheesy" and move on.
<Hax> Oh and when people are upset at me when their prize isn't worth 30k, that's annoying to. I think most people come to tournaments for fun, and to those who need TC, the prizes can be a big deal. So it's annoying when someone who purchased 300k wins a Cobra Force and b'awws at us Volunteer workers just doing what we're suppose to do.
<Hax> But mainly the game-play and how Toribash chose to be competitive, seems a bit off.
<Stellar> I've literally had people get mad at me for giving them a dragon force and their reasoning was "I hate pink items, give me something better"
<Hax> Yesterday that happened to me when I gave someone amethyst. He was a yellow belt tho :x. I thought he'd be happy, especially against people in a mod like Borba2
<Stellar> I don't get it, anyways anything you'd like to say to the community?
<Hax> Yeah, I really want to say thanks. It seems like I had a lot of backing to be hosting for you guys again, and the more I get to do for you guys, the less I regret about it all. So thank you all so much for all that. And if you need anything or have suggestions for me or whatever please please please PM me. I'm just sitting in support waiting to help people. And again, make sure to subscribe to Toribash Take-Over, because I think Toribash deserve a really awesome channel and Slycooper and I are hoping to give it to you.
<Hax> Also: try not to get stuck on one mod. Seems like the people who experiment in them all are better atany given one than those who fall victim to becoming a "Wushu player" or an "Aikido Player" or whatever.
<Stellar> Well thanks for your time Hax
<Hax> Not a problem. Any time. Thank you Ryan
