The Stanley Parable is a first person exploration game. You will play as Stanley, and you will not play as Stanley. You will follow a story, you will not follow a story. You will have a choice, you will have no choice. The game will end, the game will never end. Contradiction follows contradiction, the rules of how games should work are broken, then broken again. This world was not made for you to understand.
But as you explore, slowly, meaning begins to arise, the paradoxes might start to make sense, perhaps you are powerful after all. The game is not here to fight you; it is inviting you to dance.
Based on the award-winning 2011 Source mod of the same name, The Stanley Parable returns with new content, new ideas, a fresh coat of visual paint, and the stunning voicework of Kevan Brighting. I'm going to be 100% to say if you find this thread lacking information, its because you don't want to give information to people after you've played this game. Its one of those games where the less you know, the better. There is a demo on steam located here > http://store.steampowered.com/app/221910 (under where you buy it) and it has no spoilers in it, it is just a short intro to how the game works.
The narrator has the most sexy voice, the achievements are confusing ("Achievement: This is an achievement" And "Go outside: Don't play The Stanley Parable for five years" And the best one IMO "8888888888888888: 888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888888") in the best of ways.
If you really want a example as to what to expect from this game then there is this
I should mention its one of those games you will want to stop and look at everything. I mean everything. LOOK AT THE CRACKS IN THE WALL(There may be something there).
