please note that this is just an archive. CNC is still appreciated, but please know I have gotten a lot better with my drumming
hey guys!
I just wanted to post my old drum cover of "Welcome To The Family" by Avenged Sevenfold.
If you have any critiques, please, feel free to post them. I am open to them
If you want me to cover more songs, please tell me too. I am open for song suggestions too.
There are a lot of mistakes in this video. I went out of time, missed drums, etc.
Stuff about me (including drum kit info)
I have been drumming for almost 5 years starting at 2010, but have went on and off. If you don't count all my breaks from drumming, I would have around 2 years of experience. I have taken lessons for the first 8 months of my drumming, which, not to be rude, have been quite boring. That's why I've been on and off.
With the expansion of my music taste, I decided to get back to drumming in 2014 using my school's acoustic kit. I enjoyed a lot more pop and alternative rock back then. After a school year, I got sick of it again because of how repetitive the bars are for pop and alternative songs.
When this video was released, my taste for music has expanded once more. This time, I have expanded to some hard-rock and prog-metal. I really enjoy these songs because of how challenging the drumming is. I always love to challenge myself. I managed to snag a Roland TD-4SX (now discontinued. The model that replaced it is the TD-11KV), double kick pedal and amplifier for only £750 (for context, all of these would cost around £2000-2500)! I absolutely love my kit. Probably one of the best I will ever own.
As of today: I have invested in a MIDI interface so audio quality will be better in my future drum covers.
Drum kits used in my lifetime:
(CURRENT)
Roland TD-4SX
2010:
A very barebone-style DW drum kit
2013:
A Tama drum kit (idk the model)
