This is a thread about recent oppression my creation suffered, I wanted to give life to a single tiny Grey Pixel, just one.
I know that I used to sell 262144 pixels all in once, and my idea might have confused some people, but this time I had an epiphany. Probably the best concept I ever had.
One single Grey Pixel, yes. Made by me, to sell as a collectible art piece, a purely conceptual art piece.
Some people saw it and smiled thinking it was a cheeky idea, some people probably saw the deeper message, some people got upset because they could not understand.
Such a little thing, almost insignificant yet with such a power, a power we our self gave to him by noticing its presence.
It's one pixel, a basic unit, it can not be split it's square and its solid; Small but the essence of everything we look at on a screen, the alpha and foundation of all digital arts, it's something so little we mostly do not pay much attention to the single unit itself but more about the bigger picture.
When one misplaced in the bunch sometime it could pass unnoticed, ignored like a bit of dust on a screen, sometime instead it can stick out like a sore thumb.
Maybe you find it a bit pretentious of me, it's just a pixel after all, but in the same time it's more. It's not all black and white in life.. there are also an infinity of shades in between.
Due the latest turn of events that pixel even evolved, taking a new shape, it became "the last pixel I created for Toribash" as in protest, with a heavy heart, I decided I will not draw one more pixel for Toribash and it's community.
*This was caused by the action took by toribash mods to close and delete the auction of the Pixel even tho in first place there were people that showed interest in the concept and wanted to own the item and I am sure more people would have joined in and that it could have become a unique art collectible in the community as a unique piece*
here the link to the forcefully closed auction
