Choosing a Computer.
Ok so i'm getting a new computer soon

I'd only need the computer for homework/assignmenting and gaming (mainly FPS games)
It has to be cheap (Parents)
Price should range at around $500-$1000

These are my choices
Choice 1: (Reccomended by vesp)
http://www.shopping.hp.com/series/ca...computer_store

Choice 2: (The ones that're below $1000)
http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/sh...%20performance

(Question. Does "$24/mo†" mean 24 dollars monthly?" it's at the side of the laptop pictures)
If you guys have something better and cheaper
I'd like to hear.
I'm sorry if i look like noob at computers.
Could it be a desktop pc, or would you prefer a laptop?
:D
Just to answer

Means you will pay $24 a month, until the full payment of the Computer is paid off,
For choice 1. $949 (Processor, Ram, And the graphics card take up the most)
Components

    * • Espresso Black
    * • Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    * • Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo Processor T6600 (2.2GHz, 2MB L2 Cache, 800MHz FSB)
    * • 4GB DDR3 System Memory (2 Dimm)
    * • 320GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
    * • 512MB NVIDIA GeForce G 105M
    * • 14.1" diagonal WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display (1280 x 800)
    * • LightScribe SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-RW with Double Layer Support
    * • Webcam Only
    * • Wireless-G Card
    * • No TV Tuner w/remote control
    * • HP Color Matching Keyboard
    * • 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
    * • No Modem
    * • Microsoft(R) Works 9.0
I wouldn't recommend buying a laptop straight from the HP store.

[10:17][10:50] <diskimage> Where can I find the Toribash license?
I would not buy an HP or a Dell or anything like that. You end up paying a lot of money just for the name. From my experience, Asus makes pretty good laptops for the money, but you should try local computer chops first.

Do you know stuff about computer specs and whatnot, or are you pretty noob?
i have a totally post modern tattoo of a scalene triangle.

I'm only allowed to choose from those links
And i'm pretty noob D:
First off, I am going to let you know that desktops will be cheaper/faster then any laptop for the price, Yet laptops are very useful because you can haul them around.
After researching all those comps, This http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/sh.../e9200z_series is the best for the price/usage you will get out of it. Plus its a quad core at 2.6, that is a hell of a processor. The gaming card isn't bad, yet you can always get a new one for 200$ and it would beat any of those comps on there. So in my opinion get this http://www.shopping.hp.com/webapp/sh.../e9200z_series
