Roswell UFO Incident
"The Roswell UFO Incident was the recovery of an object that crashed in the general vicinity of Roswell, New Mexico, in June or July 1947, allegedly an extra-terrestrial spacecraft and its alien occupants. Since the late 1970s the incident has been the subject of intense controversy and the subject of conspiracy theories as to the true nature of the object that crashed. The United states Military maintains that what was actually recovered was debris from an experimental high-altitude surveillance balloon belonging to a classified program named "Mogul"; however, many UFO proponents maintain that in fact an alien craft and its occupants were captured, and that the military then engaged in a cover up. The incident has turned into a widely known pop culture phenomenon, making the name Roswell synonymous with UFOs. It ranks as the most publicised and controversial of alleged UFO incidents.

If this were true, what do you think should have occurred instead of everyone quickly forgetting the incident? I feel it should have been continuously looked over for evidence. It seems a lot of people have been stating that it was in fact a alien spacecraft and had a life form in it. Which apparently died shortly after. Also there has apparently been a release of some secret documents assuming it's truthful.
So people, what I want to ask is, what are your thoughts to this? Is it true? Do aliens exist? If so, why did people forget it so quickly?

Well, you'd have to be kind of dumb to say that there are no other intelligent life forms in our galaxy alone, muchwise the rest of the universe. Look at Drake's Equation; something definitely exists. As far as Roswell, I'm not too sure. If an extraterrestrial craft did crash, and a being was recovered, the government definitely wouldn't tell the populous. Shit would go down, and people would probably die over it. I would love to know if it was a creature, but I also respect that the government is a pretty intelligent group of people. I'm sure their cost-benefit analysis yielded that it would be best not to tell us if it did happen.
I personally believe that E.Ts do exist, and that they have definitely visited Earth. There's too much pointless attention that's been drawn to them. Ridiculously elaborate crop circles, and such. I think we'll find out eventually. And if the world does end in 2012, I hope it's by some sort of intelligent alien life. That would be a cool way to die.

Ehh I'd like to think life out there exists, and it probably does, but I don't think any of them have visited us.
If they were to visit us, it means that this form of life, was intelligent enough to form a society, form some sort of government, and form some sort of organization that would send a spacecraft into well, space.
It's the thought of that, which scares me about E.T.'s
