It's pretty cool actually, looks exactly like the original gif picture.
Must've taken a ton of salvaging in singleplayer to gather all the materials.

It was probably just classic where you can spawn the color out of no where.

Many have created pixel art in minecraft years ago, now it's just too common and doesn't really make small stuff like yours look any special at all.

(No I didn't use fly to create the sonic character, I dug a huge hole to make it fit and then I built it from bottom up.)
