Don't know if it's a new idea but I guess it's a suggestion...

A lot depends on user's first impression on the game and the tutorial that is available now might not attract too many users since it doesn't really show what you can do with your Tori by manipulating the joints correctly, first of all, or showing all best things you can do in the game. It makes you think your have to use hold and only hold. When those new players look at replays, they might feel like it is too hard to master them and might simply not come back. Developers have to make them think "Pff, easy! A few days and I'll get to their level!" (Obviously, it's not true but it would keep them in because they would try to prove themselves).

Also, a thing like 1,000 TC as you finish the tutorial would be nice to new peoplz. A message saying something like "Here's 1,000 TC for your effort! Now, go spend them in the ToriShop and make yourself look good before you get into action!"

Then, after the shop part, it will connect you to a server which will have a special tourney going on (ABD or Aikido whatever) which will make the person win (bots will take it easy haha). It will appear in the server list which will be seen only to them. It will sort of highlight it and say "Look, there's a good tourney going on here, let's kick their ass! This would show how and what to do.

Then, similar idea, it will connect you to a betting server where bots will obviously bet etc and it will make you win (depending on the person you place your bet on). This would show that not only by fighting you can make money.

After the shop part, it will connect the person to a multi-player server which has some people in it and say "Well, you're ready for some real action! Now, I'm going to leave you on your own..."


This is way better than the original tutorial which makes the user 'explore' everything and in some cases, they might not even understand how servers work, what to do and where to go.

Well except for this part,because of farming,everything is fine,though the bots being easy to help you win,they should probably just put uke's move on fight school for them .The fight school should be upgraded for more moves too.

This isn't such a bad idea, of course farming would take place like aadame and 4kid said..
I like the betting with bots and fighting with bots idea, obviously you shouldn't let people with toriboosters get their TC if they go in there because they'll always win their fights therefore getting their toribooster TC.. which will be farming. I like the idea of the tutorial though, nice idea man :-)

I like the idea, first impressions are extremely important in a game. And I love the idea of completing the tutorial giving TC, I don't think there would be a farming problem simply because just to get 1000tc, you would need to make a new account, do the tutorial, play the required amount of games just to sign up so you can trade the TC.. Which all the effort would just not be worth it.

1,000 TC part... Well, what if they sort of like give you 1k but u can't spend it on anything else except for the item u buy? And that item would not be trade-able, however you spell the word :P

If i'm right,you mean you can only spend it on the colours right?Well what if the person just left the game after not liking it for some reason after buying colours,
then the item is just left there locked in their account,or their planning on saving it for high priced items,this would fail big.

I'm pretty sure they could add something in the system where it could detect if you've got the 1,000 TC yet.

Gradegar, they mean that if you create alts it's a possible farm waiting to happen..
Although, maybe they can still do this but add an IP check, ofc, people might create different accounts from different PCs

It would be best to simply drop this 1000tc idea. Let them earn their money themselves. It would save hampa from extra coding for it as well as the mods from dealing 100s of such issues everyday.

You know, ORMO totally doesn't have any plans to take over the world with our brand new amazing tutorial project or anything.
