ATTN: PEOPLE WHO SAY THERE IS NO GLOBAL WARMING BECAUSE IT SEEMS TO BE GETTING COLDER

this is actually evidence FOR the temperature rising. allow me to explain.

As the ice caps melt, cold water flows into the ocean, cooling the gulf stream, creating cooler weather for a large portion of the world.
so there.

also, weather is getting more extreme. Hurricanes are getting bigger and badder all the time.

AND use your brains people. think about it. honestly. sit down and think about it. there is no reason to lie about it, unless you want to make a profit on selling oil.

Its Gettn pretty cold here compared to the winter last year but really if global warming was that big of a deal, we would have found ourselves in big trouble by now. But im not saying we have nothing to worry about, we should still take the neccisary precautions to prevent it from getting worse.
Why do people think global temperature change is a sudden thing?

"if global warming was that big of a deal, we would have found ourselves in big trouble by now."

We ARE in big trouble.

Particularly telling

Ran across this as i was doing my research on GIS mapping.
The index may vary only a at most a tenth of a degree, but note that the dates also coincide with the various high points of industrial development world wide.

As for those who say its actually getting colder... yes. Maybe where you are. The data collected for GIS is heavily variable, with pockets of stations registering colder temps, but this is an average temp they are recording.

We are not only getting warmer, we are doing so at an accelerated rate.

Actually, have a look at that site, they also give temperature hotspots, guess who is at #1 and had the biggest bawl at the Copenhagen Summit recently.

+points to whoever can name a critical flaw in my post, Cheers!

That article seems to directly contradict the data NASA publishes.

http://www.nasa.gov/centers/goddard/...arth_temp.html

They make no claims of Earth's temperature dropping in accordance with the sun's cooling period. In fact, the eight warmest years on record have occurred after 1998. That suggests that regardless of the sun's activity, the Earth's temperature has been abnormally high.
