Wrong. Just wrong. They don't wear them because their husbands make them wear it, they were them because they feel they have a religious obligation too.
And once again, this thread has been derailed. This thread isn't about why they choose to wear barqas, its about whether or not we should ban them.
@Jared; stop spurting shit about how burqa's dehumanise them, thats just simply not true.

Anyways, while burqas are oppressive, outlawing them will not help the situation. Hiding your identity is not illegal and if it was criminals would still do it. They don't care if it's illegal, their criminals. Guns are illegal in japan, but armed robberies still happen. Banning burqas will just send a message that we are xenophobic cunts who are afraid of clothing.
