I'll update the roster once home. First day at work was good.
Had a massive headache a lot of the day but whatever.

Welcome new members, sorry I wasn't about. Bluhawkeye and Dushik I hope your enjoy our clan ^_^

I'll try the other tag recommendations to see what work tonight as well, I'll select whatever does.

I might setup a small system for simple polls. It would be better than otherwise and a generally useful tool. I considered using the forum poll system, however it's not possible to change or even remove a poll from a thread without admin assistance. So that failed.

Well, I've had a chat with Link (Extreme) and Vrad (Rust)... apparently Link is upset about the clan, it's 'desperate' recruiting, and Cyber's attitude. He reminded me that every player with [Oblivion] in front of their name represents ever other member of the clan. I will not be represented by rage-quitting, disrespectfulness, and poor sportsmanship. I know we are still working things out as a new clan, but these things should be automatic. Cyber: I haven't said anything yet, but since you became a 'leader' you have been fairly immature about it. Your attitude, instead of improving has actually gotten worse. It's been getting on my nerves recently, and now that others are pointing it out I can't lie and say I don't see it. Kurisu, you are a great leader but I haven't seen you in-game. You have to know how these guys are acting, or else stuff like this will get out of hand. As far as new recruits, I don't mind letting noobs in, if they are good players. I don't mean good as in skill, I mean good as in sportsmanship and attitude. This is why The Alliance failed, it's standards were ignored and the clan's rep dragged it down. I don't want to see it happen again, I know we can do better than this! However, if things don't improve I will not be misrepresented. I will leave my Ally buddies, and Oblivion if things continue as they are. Perhaps I am overreacting, but we'll see what happens. Rant complete.

I might also add that at this point, the less people are being accepted and are thrown into the mix, the better it will be for everyone. We work things out first, then bring in new people (which is not necessary, since there are over 20 members now, most of whom aren't regularly active).

I like to joke around. There, I said it. I like to be sarcastic. This can be misinterpreted by some. People hate/dislike me because I liked certain people that they hated. I'm not going to name anyone, but I'm sure you can figure it out. There are sometimes where I do crack. But honestly, who doesn't. I don't believe that I'm supposed to be a strict hard ass just because I'm a 'leader'.
-----
And Kurisu is busy. He can't be expected to make an appearance everyday. He is the brai s behind the clan. He keeps this clan running. What do I do you may ask? I take care of ingame things. Clan events, clan wars, etc. and Kurisu. I'd like to thank you for the work you have out into this clan.

I've done wrong yes, but the past is long gone, and we should be able to hope for a great future.
A Wake-Up Call
I agree with everything Raven has said. We need to pick it up.
After we cull the members who are inactive and get down to the core of it, it should be easier to keep an eye on our members.

Seriously guys, rage quitting is unacceptable. if you see a member of our clan ragequit, please report it via pm to kurisu and cyber, or myself, at which point i will pass it on to them. (these reports will be anonymous) something along the lines of one warning than out. These warnings will be final and permanent. The rules of the clan are few and very simple to follow. There is no excuse for slipping up when the rules are so lenient.

We are not an elitist clan and if these violations were made anywhere else the offender would be kicked. Please do not force us to do the same. It would be a shame if a clan built around fun and being decent people had to crack down on its members in such a fashion.

====OBLIVION CLAN UPDATES====
Yeah, I'm sorry this thing is so damn long now - I expect you to read the entire thing. Please note that as
a non-officer member, I won't expect you to be anywhere near as involved as I end up being in this - my goal is for you
to have fun, relax, and be in the best clan there is without worry.

Updates

I'll be using this format for general announcements rather than normal forum participation
---
Our clan tag is now [qOp]
---
Fluny has been returned his TC from Alliance as requested, as he mentioned he wanted to leave Oblivion, he may come or go as he pleases
---
An additional rule "No quitting a last-round tourney-match" has been added, violation of this rule will be a clan expulsion offense due to the negative reputation such action will otherwise generate. This is also a public address to Dushik for this issue, please don't do this in the future.
---
I've subscribed to the forum (did this a couple days ago) and have a summary emailed to me each evening. Just a note for the sake of my forum observation while not entirely active. If interested I'd recommend using the thread tools in the upper right and subscribing yourself. Not required or anything, just a thought.
---
I'm going to add a clan updates section to the main page, I'll post dated update blocks such as this there as a record-keeping method.
---
Our clan now has an "alternative account" rank in order to connect alternative accounts to the clan in cases where it might be deemed necessary. I'd prefer we don't put accounts into the clan randomly, and only add alt accounts here with just cause.
---
Removed "IRL name" as a part of the clan application process, it's entirely unnecessary.
---
Alerting me, given I cannot constantly check Toribash PMs, anyone can email me at [email protected] if they need anything. In fact I recommend it over PMing me.
---
I'm going to try to address all new members with a welcome PM and basic information about the clan setup and try to follow up 3 to 4 days later to see how they're doing. I'd like it if officers might assist me on this.

Recognition

Thank you guys for:

TheGunslinger donating 30k TC
KingRa7en donating 1k TC

/late Oh I see :O I really need to check this thread more often.

Today Kvey and I talked about improving our recruitment process, clan roster, and adding a PM system to keep up with members. Also, he wants to add more officer positions so you guys can help him manage the roster and ingame stuff. He said he'd post the specifics himself when he's ready, I believe.

With the exception of about 6 people, this clan has pretty poor cohesion so far, and I'm not one of those six people. Being in an awesome clan is more than just having the tag next to your name and acting like a douche-- it's a responsibilty, guys. I'm talking to myself as much as to any of you at this point. PM kvey and cyber if you have any ideas or concerns. If you're gonna be inactive for a while, or aren't happy with the clan, by all means talk to someone about it. Be there for and get to know other clan members, check out the IRC channel, and try to find out how you can help the group in anyway you can. Make sure, even if you don't post, that you still read what's being said in this thread. I'll stop the commercial here.

@Kingraven I talked to LinkHunter about that conversation, and to an extent I see his points. I completely agree with everything you said, and I'd hate to have to see you leave Oblivion.

@Cyber, leadership = responsibility. I told you that when I gave you the position. This isn't me getting on to you or betraying you or anything like that, I understand your personality and I like you and like playing with you etc. If you aren't up to it, that's completely fine, but if you're going to be an effective ingame leader of this clan you'll have to change some things, excessive taunting, complaining, and rage quitting to name a few.

And to follow up on what Zanderhar said, I believe a new clan member was kicked out today for rage quitting in the final match of the tournament. Don't do it, good sportsmanship is literally the ONLY requirement/goal we have as a clan. If you can't handle that, you don't deserve a second chance even if you are given one.
