I have always wanted a spinning head texture, talking head texture or maybe even a blinking head texture.. Why just not eveything at same time?
This would make Toribash-texturemaking so more interesting!

I like the idea, but it seems like a dream that it would happen. Has to many issues that could happen.

Yes it could be abbused by making some weird texture loop but imagine,

Eyes that were on fire that moved or more realistic glow from robot eyes.

i assume it would cause a lot of lag and i really dont want to have to download a shit ton of 512x512 gifs just to see some shitty heads

2. Please god no, the amount of kids that would make their head an annoying ass optical illusion or seizure inducing gif would just be nuts. I know it seems like a good idea, but file sizes would be way too big, and the amount of moderation needed for that would double the posts in general reports (if illusions and seizure inducing gifs were banned).

Although adding the option for gifs as head textures could be taken advantage of in quite a creative manner allowing for new possibilities this would not be what would happen. Instead as others have said it would follow what happened with grip/hit sounds and every blue belt without knowledge of texturing would simply upload every gif they could get there hands on ultimately causing the overuse of annoying and silly head animations. The only way around this would be to make the item exclusive in either a rather excessive price of +100k or some kind of limit on who can buy or acquire the item much like Qi which I'd say they will not do because an exclusive item by definition is one that is rarely sold and will therefore not generate much revenue on the market.

I believe that this could work. But as Hack said the lower and less experienced members of TB will make the gif texture look like trash and maybe even overuse it. I also believe that this will cause lag of colossal proportions especially for any 512 gifs. You have to remember gifs take up a considerable amount of data to upload and maintain, unlike regular pictures. You could make it and item for those with VIP or Toriprime (mostly users with high forum and game intelligence) but it will still have to cost a price of TC, it doesn't have to be that high because getting TP and VIP is a combined price of 17$ anything under 5$ or maybe 7-12k would be fine BUT it is only available to users with TP and VIP. This will lower the miss use and craziness of all this extra data running through the game.
But then again I just remembered what happened in Japan when pokemon had a flashing lights problem (for those who don't know a lot- thousands- of people died of seizures.) yeah that's the last this TB needs is for scared mothers and fathers to try to ban the game cause of a gif texture.
