Although I'd like to be a photographer at a renowned magazine suck as penthouse or playboy, i have come to this conclusion.

You have to be REALLY REALLY not into girls to perform your job well (i.e.: be a professional photographer)

You can only snap pictures of them. Any red blooded male would rather be the one that does their body makeup, or be their personal masseuse, in which to be good at, you have to be REALLY REALLY not into girls (ie: be a make up artist/overly musculated and toned guy in a wifebeater shirt)

Thirdly, the photos turn out to be crap, so geeks at their computers end up photoshopping the photos to get rid of the nasty bits and to "pump up" the pictures, and in order to be good at it, you have to have little to no contact with ACTUAL girls.

I do freelance graphic/web design/development at the moment.
My dream is to do what I do, but in a proper studio. So i'm nearly there.
