Hm, I was thinking....
Who the hell is paying pirates to pirate stuff?! I don't believe that the freedom of information is their only satisfaction. No one can live just on air. Someone must be standing behind them. But WHO? Who support pirates?

Maybe not the part of this discussion but, does anyone have some knowledge about it?
america is just trying to be the on the good side , just to be honest theres nothing wrong with them being like this , they just feel responsible for the internet , weither we like it or not they help the phillipines get to where we are now so we or atleast i have gratitude for their atitude towards others

People who donate to pirates support pirates :P

A lot of the time pirates have day jobs. I knew some people that were part of a cracking team that pirate the stuff and then send it off to release groups to distribute it. I believe there are a lot of people like this who are just hobbiests. Like how you make art, they pirate

But then of course there are more serious people who pirate and make money from websites through advertising (you may notice torrenting websites have a lot of adverts) or from offering premium member content. Etc.

You must understand that "Torrent finder" was created with illegal intentions. Of course Google can be used to search for torrents, but it was not created to do so. It was created to search the web for general purpose reasons. Torrent finder, I repeat, was made to search for illegal things.

Another example would be knives and firearms.

Knives can kill people, right?

But it is not designed to. It is designed to cut things other than animals.

Firearms, on the other hand, are of course made to kill things. Therefore, it is more legal to have a knife than it is to have a gun.

Torrents are not illegal
It was created with the purpose of making money through advertising by offering a powerful specialist search engine.

It is not beneficial to them to be illegal. Torrent finder is not illegal in itself. A parallel would be ebay, which acts as a way for buyers to find sellers of items. Some of these items may be stolen, so you could claim ebay is trafficing in stolen goods, the same way that the US claims torrent-finder is trafficing in copyright infringing downloads. However as you may well know, neither is illegal and both move a lot of legal content.

Your example is ironic because both guns and knives are legal in the US...

Your point is recognized.

At times I am unaware of things.

Perhaps I am thinking of another type of internet content.

Perhaps you merely relied too heavily on the connotation that torrent caries; that it is connected to pirating.
