TBN is under development, when there's anything that can actually be shown to public / spoken about, you'll know. Game development takes time.

To be fair, the person who made that announcement did interview Hampa, so it seemed like a credible source.

Especially since no one disproved him.

Anyways, I get it takes time, that's not the problem, but you should really try to involve more of what's left of the community. The first post hasn't been updated in an year and we just know very little about the game itself. Is it just a remake with some secondary additions or are you going to add features that will make it feel different from what we already have?
