- Price range: $200~$300
- Location: Allen, Texas
- Input: iPod/Computer
- Using For: Games/Music
- Other: Sound is more important then comfort but It wouldn't hurt to have some comforting headphones.
Noice cancellation would also be nice but it isn't crucial.
If you could get a pair of some nice looking headphones that would be awesome.
Thanks, in advance.
Depends if you are looking for a bassy pair of headphones or not.
Closed and Balanced
DT250 (try and get the 80 ohm version for amp reasons. Isolates a lot. Indestructible)
Closed and Bassy
DT770 pro (try get the 80 ohm version for amp reasons. Isolates a LOT. Indestructible)
Denon D2000 (these don't isolate much at all!)
Ultrasone DJ1 (stylish)
Open and not bassy:
Grado SR225 (lots of people like grado, I do NOT. Don't go the SR325).
Beyerdynamic DT440 (not too comfy, but pretty good for the price. The balance is good though I reckon)
Audiotechnica AD700 or AD900 (not very bassy at all)
Open and Bassy:
DT990 pro (essentially a closed version of the DT770. Maybe a bit more bassy).
Note: indestructible refers to the headphones, not the cable
I've tried to stick away from "audiophile" sounding headphones, because eventually (particularly at this price point, I guess) you can start to notice flaws in recordings for some genres (like the ones you mentioned..)
What soundcard do you have, btw?
