Here we go. I've been quite discontented with clans for a while now. I cannot seem to find any that truly suit me and my needs as a Toribash player. I hope to join this clan, or at least be given the chance to prove myself, in order to (hopefully) gain some more good friends in this small community. I've been in a variety of clans over the years, but recently they have failed to provide me with people that I could truly call friends.
Natejas has ordered me to join this clan, and I shall willingly obey. Everyone here seems quite nice and quirky, and I feel as though I would fit in pretty well! I'll first provide some information about me as a toribash player, and move onto information about me "irl" (Just broke the #1 rule of essay writing, but screw it, this technically isn't an essay at all).
As you can see on the left, I am a 10th dan black belt (around 12000 qi), with 871 forum posts, a 66 win percentage, and a rank that usually stays under 70. I always have the forum open, no matter what I'm doing on my computer, and thus I check it and post on it quite frequently. I'm in-game approximately 5 hours per day, and I mainly play aikido based mods (I also do a bit of sparring and replay making, and wushu has always been quite a bit of fun), though I doubt you really care about that. At this point I'd like to mention that I'm not actually this dry in conversation, but I would like to keep things rather formal, as this is an application.
I am 17 years old and my name is Michael Migliozzi. As of I have no care for privacy, you're free to look my up on Facebook, and my Skype is Elvanryb (Oh, already off topic. Woops!). I attend the Academy for Science and Design in New Hampshire, USA (-5 GMT), and wish to study Electrical Engineering, either the sub-field of Microelectronics Engineering or Power Engineering, come college. I have taken 5 years of Mandarin Chinese and am quite fluent at this point. I actually visited China for 9 days with a group of friends back in April; it was best experience of my life! I enjoy general programming, digital art (mostly photo-manipulation), soccer (Should be called football! Stupid America...), basketball, snowboarding, and writing poetry. I have a girlfriend named Kelly Bourque. We've only been dating for 2 months, but she's a lot of fun.
I hope you've given this a good read if you've come this far, and so I hope you consider me for a position in this clan. I'd like to get to know all of you, including natejas (we recently made up <3), a lot better and hopefully gain some great friends in the process. but I would just like to ask where I stand in this process. Is there private (inter-clan) discussion involved, as the recruitment OP says, or should a few more yes's do it? I would just like to know because I'll be away most of the weekend. I'll be on later in the night, each night, though, if anyone would like to talk. That brings me to my next question, should I just reach you through the #raku IRC, or is there a better form of communication you guys use?
