[Promo-Team] Create an Event Competiton
Promo-team's Create an Event Competiton


The winner of this competition will have their competition dream realized, and then help to judge it, all under the funding and guidance of the Promo-TeamŽ.

The rules are simple, this must be a creative, original competition.
This competition must be Toribash related.
This can be any be ANY kind of competiton.
RULES FOR YOUR COMPETITION ARE APPRECIATED
The deadline is two weeks from today.

PRIZES: 1st: 30k
2nd 15k
And of course, the chance to host this competiton.

New idea, instead of coming up with comps that is, "see how can do this the best or farthest," when those are already in the record book, why don't we give prizes to who ever can beat records in the record book? Ever lasting event.

Well, I have an idea...

ToriBand Contest
Team up with other Toribashers and create your own album cover (name included) and your own song name.

Rules
5 maximum in a band. You can have any style band (classical, pop etc)
Your album covers can be in any format (drawn on paper, render, screenshot ingame etc)
1st Prize - 15k (per band member)
2nd Prize - 10k "
3rd Prize - 5k "

my idea is a high jump that will be judged and the gravity must be a a set stander so that there is no cheating and the same for the str of the joints

Hmm...Well that would be a more difficult task and not many people would enter...

Actually, if we had another section in the forums where players can start their own band (like clans) and maybe they could make their music videos and remixes there.

Basic rules:
This is a most win tourney. Meaning, you want to get a lot of wins.
The tourney will go on for one hour.
At the end of the hour, the two people with the most wins will face off for the final!
Bad language aimed at other players will NOT be tolerated.
No excessive swearing.
No begging.
No excessive talking or caps either.
No colored text.
There are no signups for this, just show up and fight.
(With 10 mins left, I might ask/kick all people with zero or maybe one to leave.)
Rules are subject to change, even if it means at the start of the tourney.
Time and Date: Friday March 27th 10PM Eastern Time [0200 GMT Saturday March 28th] (If there are any issues just let me know politely)
Location: LightTourney
Server will be set up 15-20 minutes prior to the hosting time.
Mod: tatakai.tbm (A mode made by myself.)
Prizes:
First: 25,000 tc
Second: 10,000 tc

if this seems familiar thats because it should be to you of the "old-skoolers" it was the old Nabi Light tourney's which as can be guessed by the name were hosted by lightningkid (ub3r god of win hax imo...)

this was one of my favorite tourneys and would keep me up late at night (ok till eleven...) batteling for a few more minutes on the computer

ok now aside from making myself seem like young kid, i promise i'm not, i really enjoyed they style and even though i knew i wasn't going to win i still enjoyed watching some of the more experienced players do their thing.

anyways yeah i can't take credit for what wasn't mine in the first place but i hope that Nabi and the promo team decide to start hosting these tourneys again.

The Toribash Advertising Campain


The goal of this contest would be to help spread the word about Toribash.

All contestants will be givin a special link that points to the toribash
registration. This link would track click throughs to the site. There would also
be a referral text box added to the signup form that should be prefilled in with
your name. This way we can track both the amount of click throughs &
signups that you have accumulated. The person with the most signups each
month would get one of the monthly promos a prize. This is a very
simple sounding contest. It may not however be easy to setup. We would
need a good link tracking script & some edits to the signup form. I think it
could be made into a working system that would in turn bring in alot of users.

There would need to be a rule that each signup must have like 25/50 fights to count.
This would /should prevent users creating fake accounts in order to cheat.
