Well I think it more of the design. The base is a bit lumpy, like a tree. All the little things add up

Yeah, it looks too much like a tree (textures, 'branches').

I think the real problem with why it looks like a tree isn't the lumpy bottom or the arms.
It's just not jagged enough. I'm trying to fix it, but it's hard as hell with all those vertices. =/
