Understood. I really like tl;dr's highbrow aspect and I think we should live up to our name. I think we should also put a damper on adding more people to the clan unless their overdosed with swag.

Also there has been multiple times where he has joined the irc and then left immediately, no words, nothing. The one time he actually talked in irc he only stayed for like 45 minutes to an hour. Which would be fine if he was really strong in another area... But he hasn't shown that. Also he has been posting in places where he shouldn't be and doesn't seem to understand his bounds. That's my two cents.

I understand that I over stepped my bounds, but I would be more than happy to stay in the Irc and talk with you guys. Redundant, I didn't leave because I wanted to. You can say everything that you think I do wrong and I will try and work on it, but i would like to get to know you better and maybe we can be friends. If I don't seem like the kind of person you guys want in your clan then I will work on those qualities and come back when I am more mature.

And redundant you can be a asshole to me all you want, but I like this clan it seems like a good strong family. I have no issues with any of you. I would like to get to know you all better, but redundant if you think I should "fuck off" so you don't have to deal with my "pussy ass" then to bad. I will keep trying until I am good enough for this clan.

So we have three yes votes and Iiinsaneee is mia. I think we should leave this for a day or two and see if he comes back and what he has to say, as he is part of the council, and then decide. Anyone have any input on what we should do?

Edit: However, I would heavily suggest that the council who has already voted should reconsider their votes after seeing the way he is handling the situation with Redundant. We wouldn't want someone to be confrontational in the way that he is towards other players. This could give us a very bad rep.

I'd just like to give a little input.

I'm almost certain I've known static longer than anyone else has, having said that, not once have i seen him be randomly confrontational around anyone because he isn't that type of person, and he has a great reputation within the community in general which makes it very doubtful that he would bring us a bad rep unless he were to somehow change over night.

I think this has gone waaay far that it should for just one person. The way i analyze if someone is capable to join this clan it's basing on the main purpose of its creation. I think that people who could join here will be pretty noticeable. If someone needs to almost hypnotize us to make it look like he/she's capable to join, then imo that's a clear point that it's not what the clan needs, that's all, next please.

Redundant has made it abundantly clear that he doesn't like Static, and from what I've seen, Redundant has been extremely abrasive towards him for no reason. Static has only been responding in kind. Most of this has happened in IRC, and I wish now that I had collected logs. My vote remains as a yes.

Yeah me and ego basically called him fat in IRC one of the first time we talked and when Static took it badly because of his muscular condition Ego said that he hadn't read his app and neither of us apologised for calling him fat because we kinda changed the subject to ego's philosophy of life choices and shit, at that point I'm not sure that Static was in the best mood to have ego's philosophy of life choices explained to him so perhaps interpreted it wrong. Basically Static took a joke the wrong way because he is in a wheel chair and now he and ego have major beef or something.

At least that's all I can work out. I imagine we just hit a nerve which Static has for very understandable reasons almost immediately after meeting him. ego isn't exactly the most easy person to like at times and Static explained exactly why he dislikes ego in much more measured tones than ego explained the other side of the picture.

Edit: And Locus, I've mentioned that I respect your judgement over that of a lot of our clan members and I still feel that way, but it is also beginning to feel like the only thing coming out of (and into;)) your mouth recently is Redundant, I'm fine with you acknowledging his opinion and using it to influence your own, but I feel like it would be better if we just re-entered Redundant as a voting member of the council and came to our own independent decisions on our votes. Just having him here to try to persuade everyone to vote his way seems kinda pointless when he could just vote himself.

On another subject entirely; should we use this thread to discuss the progress of our trial members or do we just deal with new applicants here? I'm fine for leaving the decisions about trial members to the leaders but if we don't already have any set rules or organising such things then perhaps we should make them?

Fair enough Zelda, what you said is definitely true lately. For Static in particular. But with previous apps me and Red have definitely disagreed. This is just the one application that we happen to share the same opinion on. And you're right, I do respect his opinions, but I'm by no means a puppet for ego. Thank you for being honest though Zelda, I'm glad to know you have that level of respect for me.

That being said, I don't think we are in a rush for new members. I don't see why we are pushing for static to join when we know he and ego don't get along. That just seems like a recipe for disaster down the road.

Also, I think it would be a good idea to discuss trial members, and maybe it's about time we discussed (or started to discuss) nick's trial period.
