Sure. Click right mouse button on the image ( not the layer ). Then choose filters, there will be "Map" click it, and choose map object.
If you want it to be seen ike toribash head, choose the option, than change the Plane to Sphere.
If you want to adjust the lighting effect, choose the lighting and edit it.
If you want to see the side or the back, choose the orientations, and change the rotations.
( If you don't know, turn the Y to 90 to see right side, -90 to see left side, and 180 to see back side. And turn the Z to 90 to see upper side. )
