Watching owca in a long match now, I don't think he's spotted me observing. Took me some time to realize that monstrous combo of letters was a game name. Crazy polish peeps. Currently Owca has given up some small material for a massive kingside assault, good stuff. Owca has solidified his king defence, and mobilized his pieces well, open game, with huge possibilities, complex. A slippery queen sneaks to owca's backside, can he survive this wily thrust? Yes the attack is meaningless and he gains a tempo! Caught the end while chicken and I fought out a few games, the attack on owca's queen-side proved a bit too much, he fought a good fight, almost had the guy on time, but in the end succumbed. Still good fight.
Owca returns to battle my countryman EdwardBanana. After an unusual but sharp start, Owca scores a nice fork on king, winning a rook outright. A most solid start. A crafty revealed check might spell Owca's doom! Owca finds an out, but at what cost? Ha ha! The greedy Banana opens himself up to a queen skewered against her king! Wait will owca find the skewer? Neither player sees it, oh the humanity! Yes, the sheep finds it! The crowd is on feet! Owca recovers with a solid lead in the late midgame. Owca has a passed pawn, a single knight against E. Bananas 1 bishop color weakness, most importantly a Queen vs. Banana's rook. Clever, Owca's knight slips on an E. Banana peel trap. This fight swings back and forth, with no end in sight. With 1 point difference, any small mistake could spell doom, and there it is ...the bishop falls. To his credit Banana finesses a pawn, but it is a blunder with the rook falling to a fork. Gadzooks, both players miss the fork! Banana's doom is forestalled... Banana slips past another fork. Well into the endgame, both players lurk with might on an open board, each with passed pawns. Owca dominates. For some sheep one queen is not enough, Owca proves himself such a sheep with a pawn march to Banana's doom. Owca finds a fork! Game over man! Banana disconnects rather than admit defeat, a poor show by my fellow countryman. This forces Owca to wait for the server to declare him winner.
