Maybe not the zerg rush (which is a totally queer strategy btw), but Starcraft nukes < SC2 nukes. Nukes are quite painful in Starcraft, but you can survive one, because only the more fragile buildings will actually get destroyed. Your units are screwed though. Except Terran Battleships.
In SC2, only the toughest experimental units can survive within a good radius of the impact. Even then, you don't need a Ghost to point out a location, and you can easily shower people with many consecutive nukes, quickly destroying them. There is nuke defense, but if you launch 3 at once, you need 3 defense silo's in order to avoid getting nuked. I think. You can potentially win with a single nuke if you nail your opponents commander, too. The downside? Building nukes costs an insane amount of resources, and takes forever to do.
Now, don't get me wrong, i love Starcraft. Most certainly among the best strategy games ever. Supreme Commander 2 is merely at a much bigger scale. :U
