My new FB cover...It took 2hrs and 10min to make it.

It's pretty good, I actually do like it a lot. It's a shame that I deleted my Facebook account so I could apply to colleges without them snooping in my personal life.

I like the explosion effect in the back. Did you use something other than Gimp or Photoshop, like Cinema 4D, because I'd love to see how you got the letters to begin splitting as well

Hello, I wanted to ask artists - what do you think about Inkscape? To create banners, logos etc. Maybe you know better program? (Don't offer Gimp or Photoshop)

Cinema 4D, even though i'm not quite sure how to use it, I hear great things about it. A lot of good GFX artists use it create their 3D texts, and edit them in Photoshop. I'm trying to get into that sort of art, i'll give a few examples of the type of art at the end of the post.
Other than that, Photoshop and Gimp are pretty much the two best programs to create banners and logos in, from my experience.

Anyway, this is my first good attempt at the GFX style I wanted to try to learn, examples of the art I put in my last post in this thread. It's not the best, but it's a start, there's still heaps for me to learn.

If you could make the color's contrast higher, it might look better.

I'm going to restart the whole thing, there were a lot of things I left out/forgot about, I didn't save a .PSD file of it either, so that means starting from scratch. And Wannin, I'll take in your opinion and see the outcome of the new one with a higher contrast.

Darken up the back ground lynx , make everything more illuminated . Maybe even add a semi transparent effect with a digital grid for the font . It's looking good so far though , I like it .


Here is a tiny update on my new mod pack , im up to 93 objects so I dont have much mroe to do except add the details and a small structure . Inside that far building there is alot of space left , any thoughts on what I could add in there ?
